Tracking My Progress

This is a progression of my weight loss, going back to 2007 before I joined Weight Watchers.  I still cringe when I look at some of these older photographs.  Happily, they now serve as a motivation to continue with my fitness and nutrition efforts.

July 2007

2007 was when my weight crept up to an all-time high.  At a family wedding in 2007, my mother-in-law wondered if I might be pregnant.  A few months later (when I was wearing this same outfit), someone else asked if I had some "news" to share.  I still have this outfit hanging in my closet as a reminder of where I was and how far I've come.

November 2007
This photo was taken just weeks before I started Weight Watchers, so I must have been around 190 at the time.  I still have the same sweatshirt and I'm amazed by how it just hangs on me now.  This photo also demonstrates how I was making less-than-healthy food choices - I'm cooking cheese ravioli for dinner.  Typically, I would make an entire bag of frozen ravioli and my husband and I would eat it all for dinner (perhaps along with a loaf of garlic bread).

What a difference!
This was after I reached my initial Weight Watcher's goal of breaking 150 pounds.  The pants  (which are size 12) had been snug in 2007 - I actually split the seam in the lining while dancing at the wedding.  Less than a year later, they barely stayed on my hips.  Now, they don't touch me anywhere and won't stay up at all.
