Not Much More Than A Log

I spent much of my day working on an article for work which I plan to adapt for this blog.  My evening was going to be spent wrapping up that article and maybe working on a deep, thought-provoking blog entry.  Then... I got kept at work an extra 2 hours going over some not-quite-crisis stuff with my boss and didn't leave until after 8pm.  Despite this unintended wrench, I stuck with my plans and drove to the gym for my cardio workout - if I came home there was too great a temptation to get right on the computer and start working on work-related stuff.  So I got home after 10pm, showered, cooked a quick dinner, and am now just about ready for bed.

While the evening didn't go quite as planned, I'm glad I stuck to my general plan and got my workout in there.  I have some extra time in my schedule tomorrow when I can handle the work-related stuff.  And, while I'd like to wrap-up my article, the deadline for it isn't until the end of the month and I can work on it later this week.  Pacing, moderation, and breathing - three important things to remember.
